In 2007, the company FIDE won an award in the category "female hygiene" for its sanitary pads line Carine Ultra in the competition Consumer Choice of the Year - The best innovation.
This is a marketing programme that monitors and rewards new and innovated products launched onto the Czech market. The uniqueness of this competition is that the award determination is based on market research results collected from the end consumers of given range of goods selected through a representative panel of 2,000 households. In every household, up to 4 members older than 14 years can vote.
The system of the evaluation consisted of two parts: product attractiveness to the consumer, and the intention of purchasing the product again. The winners of each category received a one-year license for using the logo of "Consumer Choice 2007 - The best innovation" on their products.
The prizes for the winning products in the 26 categories were handed over during the final ceremony in Slovansky dum in Prague, where more than 300 retail, advertisement, media and communication agencies experts and the press representatives participated.
